
Tamar is a triumphant story of broken promises, deception, immorality and incest but through it all we see the grace of God. Judah must choose a wife for his eldest son Er in hopes of taming his wild behavior. He settles on Tamar, a Canaanite woman, that he has seen working in the fields. Reluctant to marry Er because of his reputation of his evil ways, Tamar has no choice but to abide by her father and raise up the house of Judah with many sons.
